US 2022 pork production expected be slightly lower than 2021
The United States will produce 12.51 million tonnes of pork in 2022, down slightly (-0.3%) from the 12.55 million tonnes expected to be produced in 2021, according to United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) long-term projections for pork production.
In 2023, 12.87 million tonnes of pork is expected, which would represent a 2.8% increase from 2022.
As for pork exports, USDA anticipates the US will export 3.36 million tonnes of pork in 2022. This would represent a 2.7% increase from the 3.27 million tonnes expected to be exported in 2021.
Exports in 2023 are expected to remain stable from 2022 levels.
