Belarus completes corn harvest

Belarus has completed the harvesting campaign for corn, announced the main department of plant growing of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

Agrarians harvested corn throughout the areas of 181,600 ha, which totalled 100% of the harvesting areas. The production volumes totalled 1.604 million tonnes of corn in bunker weight, with the average yield of 88.4 c/ha.

In general, production volumes of corn in clean weight are expected to exceed last year volumes in two times. In 2010, the index totalled 546,200 tonnes.
