EU to decide on meat imports from Kaliningrad Region
The decision on the start of pork, beef, and poultry imports from Russia's Kaliningrad Region will soon be finalized, Paul van Geldorp, an EU official said on Friday (Nov 11).
The decision is to be based on the results of inspections of Russia's sanitary oversight systems held by the EU's mission in the country in September, van Geldorp said.
Delegations from Russia, Belarus, and EU took part in a meeting initiated by the EU, devoted to problems of veterinary and phytosanitary oversight.
