Taiwan makes purchase of 55,000 tonnes of Brazilian corn
Taiwan's Maize Industry Procurement Association had sealed a deal on Wednesday (November 12, 2008), to buy 55,000 tonnes of Brazilian corn from Glencore, according to a trader.
The group had originally tendered for 43,300 tonnes of US corn and 40,800 tonnes of South American corn, but decided on Wednesday to buy a cargo from Brazil.
The tender was sealed on a C&F basis.
