China think-tank cuts 2008 soy estimates by 1 million tonnes
China's grain think tank Wednesday cut its forecast for the country's soy output this year by 1 million metric tonnes to 16.50 million tonnes.
The output cut could be due to a unit yield cut, as the China National Grain and Oils Information Centre kept its soy acreage estimate unchanged.
The center in its monthly report kept its output estimates for corn, wheat, rice and rapeseed in 2008 unchanged from its October report.
