Kazakhstan's grain exports up 43.6 percent in September
 
 

Kazakhstan's grain exports in September increased 43.6 percent on-year to 354,600 tonnes, according to customs data.

 

Of the total grain exports, wheat occupied 96.3 percent. Wheat exports in September reached 341,000 tonnes, up 1.6 times from the same period last year.

 

Main buyers of Kazakh wheat were Turkmenistan at 73,700 tonnes and Kyrgyzstan at 63,800 tonnes.

 

During July-September of fiscal year 2008-09, Kazakhstan has exported 354,600 tonnes of wheat, down 42 percent on-year.

 

Barley exports totalled 13,100 tonnes in September, up 3.6 percent from August but down 58.3 percent on-year.
