Antje Eckel chosen Agricultural Entrepreneur of the Year 2015
Antje Eckel, owner of Dr. Eckel GmbH, was proclaimed "Agricultural Entrepreneur of the Year" on Sunday, November 8, at the start of the weeklong Agritechnica, the world's largest agricultural machinery trade fair, in Hanover, Germany.
The award, presented by "agrarzeitung"-the leading cross-media marketing medium for all opinion-forming stakeholders in agribusiness-recognises Antje Eckel for her creativity, entrepreneurial skills and her vision and commitment to agriculture.
"A strong sense of future issues and the will to make the company grow healthily are among the cornerstones of Antje Eckel's success. She is considered by experts to be a 'pioneer of innovative feed additives'", said Dr Anton Einberger, managing director of Trouw Nutrition Germany GmbH, in his tribute.
The jury also commended Dr. Eckel GmbH for being a company that is constantly developing innovations for the international animal nutrition market.
Early on, the founder and CEO of Dr. Eckel GmbH replaced antibiotic growth promoters. Dr. Eckel's innovative approach is considered the industry standard today. Despite fierce competition, the company was able to maintain its market position and strong growth. For Antje Eckel and her now 50-strong team in Niederzissen and the representative office in Asia, wise investments and ambitious goals are the drive behind the company's healthy growth.
