China lysine prices fall as one major producer resumes production

Lysine prices fell considerably during the week ending November 10.

Sales of lysine were slow due to a weak hog market and low inclusion rates while soymeal remained cheap. Producers, who were facing mounting inventories, slashed prices in efforts to close deals.

Average prices of 98.5-percent lysine were lower by RMB0.28/kg at RMB7.27/kg.

RMB1=US$0.1572 (Nov 10)
