Solomon Islands awaits Vanuatu cattle arrival
Solomon Islands is rejoicing over the arrival of 400 cattle from the Republic of Vanuatu.
Agriculture and livestock minister Connely Sandakabatu hailed the shipment as a proud moment for Solomon Islands, especially his ministry which he says has worked tirelessly to ensure this national project becomes a reality.
The arrival of the cattle was the result of cooperation between colleague ministers and the government of the Republic of Vanuatu.
Solomon Islands paid SBD2 million (US$273,140) for the purchase and transportation of the 400 cattle.
