Yili opens 800-tonne-a-day dairy plant in Ningxia's Wuzhong
Yili Group's dairy processing plant based in Wuzhong, Ningxia province has gone into operation few months ahead of schedule. Equipped with eight production lines, the facility mostly produces high-end dairy products and has a capacity of 800 tonnes of liquid milk daily.
Central China's largest oil and feed processing park breaks ground in Henan
Henan Sunshine Group Corporation started construction on a RMB1.4-billion edible oil and feed processing cum logistics park in Xingyang city, Henan's Zhengzhou, the largest of its kind in central China.
The 800-mu park will feature a million-tonne edible oil processing plant, a 2.2-million-tonne feed mill touted to be China's largest, as well as a grain and edible oil logistics facility and a distribution centre.
Zhengbang Group establishes 500,000-head hog base in Jiangsu
With a total investment of RMB550 million, Zhengbang Group plans to establish a 500,000-head hog base and a 240,000-tonne feed processing mill in Anfu county, Ji'an city, Jiangsu. Upon completion, the three-phase project is expected to generate around RMB600-800 million in annual output values and RMB125 million in profits.
Henan receives first shipment of English breeder hogs
Henan Chun Tian Livestock Technology Development recently imported 557 grandparent-stock breeder hogs of Landrace, Large White and Duroc breeds from England worth a combined US$9 million.
Hubei Liangyou, JSR tie up in China's largest high-end hog breeding base
Hubei Liangyou JSR Breeding Co Ltd, a RMB180-million joint venture between UK pig genetics company JSR Genetics Ltd and state-owned Hubei Liangyou Livestock & Poultry Co Ltd, recently completed its RMB65-million first-phase construction in Hubei's Xiang Yang city.
The 650,000-sq-m eco-agricultural science and technology park, which is also China's largest high-end hog breeding base, will be importing its first batch of 905 breeder hogs from England. The park is expected to produce 20,000 commercial hogs and 5,000 breeder hogs annually.
Chinatex plans 600,000-tonne soyoil plant in Sichuan's Guangyuan
With an investment of RMB1 billion, Chinatex Corporation Ltd plans to set up a 600,000-tonne soyoil processing mill and logistic facilities in Sichuan's Guangyuan city. The project is slated to begin construction by year-end and complete by the end of 2012, with annual output values estimated to exceed RMB2 billion.
