Indian corn exporters expect demand to pick up in December

Indian corn exporters are bearish in the short term but expect demand to pick up from December, the Business Line newspaper reported Tuesday (November 11).

Corn exports have halted due to a fall in commodity prices, the credit squeeze and the depreciation of the Indian rupee against the US dollar, the report said quoting industry sources.

Exporters are currently building inventories and expect to ship corn in a big way towards the end of the year, it added.
