Danone Romania signs deal with local dairy farm
Danone Romania has signed a milk supply deal with DN Agrar Group on Wednesday (Nov 9).
DN Agrar Group supplies Danone with 23 tonnes of milk per day and the quantity will reach 30 tonnes per day by the end of the year, Danone said in a press release.
DN Agrar Group set up a dairy farm in the central county of Alba in 2009, following an investment of EUR8.0 million (US$11 million), which now has more than 1,100 cows, the company said in the statement.
Danone Romania, a unit of French dairy products maker Danone, collects more than 200 tonnes of milk per day, as more than 95% of it comes from Romanian producers.
