Victorian Climate Change Strategy for Fisheries and Aquaculture 2008-2018
The draft Victorian Climate Change Strategy for Fisheries and Aquaculture 2008-2018 is part of the Brumby Government's US$205 million Future Farming Strategy which will assist farming and fisheries businesses meet the challenges of climate change.
This draft strategy will help to ensure the long term sustainability of Victoria's fisheries.
It sets out priorities to assist commercial, recreational and aquaculture fisheries sectors to plan for, and adapt to, climate change and also recognises the need for fisheries management to be responsive to these changes.
This draft strategy will guide all fisheries climate change investment to inform businesses of the risks and opportunities brought on by climate change and the potential actions that fishery sectors can take to adapt to these changes.
