Borisovsky increases capital investment
Borisovsky meat processing plant is to increase investment by 16 percent over 9 months.
According to Meat Russia, Borisovsky meat processing plant increased the value of investments attracted to the fixed capital by 16 percent up to BYR 4.9 (US$182 million) for 9 months of the current year, said Natalia Eroshenko, the Head of the Planning and Economic Department.
More than BYR 3 billion (US$111 million) were directed for purchase of equipment for abattoir workshop.
At present, the reconstruction of pig slaughtering line is continued at the plant. Another BYR 2 billion (US$74 million) will be subsidized for technical re-equipping of the workshop till the end of the year.
About BYR 20 billion (US$742 million) of credit resources in total were subsidized for re-equipping and reconstruction of Borisovsky Meat Processing Plant for the last six years. In particular, US$9 million were subsidized for reconstruction of two sausage workshops.
The enterprise installs technological equipment of world leading producers from Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Austria and the US. As for technical equipment, Borisovsky Meat Processing Plant is one of the most state-of-the-art meat processing enterprises of Belarus.
For 10 months of the current year, the enterprise increased product manufacturing output by 17.4 percent up to BYR 128 billion (US$4.7 billion) in comparable prices, and consumer good production output was up by 16.4 percent up to BYR 133 billion (US$4.9 billion).
Sausage product manufacturing output grew by 0.2 percent to 7,200 tonnes. Semi-processed product line was significantly expanded, and production volume increased by 25.9 percent up to 3,641 tonnes. Meat product manufacturing total output grew by 14.8 percent up to 15,070 tonnes.
Exports more than doubled to US$11.9 million for 9 months.
Borisovsky Meat Processing Plant was built in 1933 and at present, it is one of the largest enterprises of meat processing industry of Belarus.
Its monthly manufacturing output of sausage and semi-processed products amounts to 800 and 350 tonnes, respectively. The Meat Processing Plant has outlets in Borisov, Minsk, Zhodino, as well as in some small towns of Minsk region, according to Meat Russia.
