China Tryptophan: Tight availability, strong demand lift prices (week ended Nov 7, 2022)

An eFeedLink Exclusive

Demand for tryptophan remained robust while soymeal costs stayed high. With production limited, tryptophan producers lifted prices further over the week.
Over the week, export prices of tryptophan rose to US$7.80/kg.
Transacted prices of local products increased to the range of RMB56.10 -61/kg while those of imported products  climbed to RMB62/kg.

High usages of tryptophan will help to underpin prices. Producers are likely to increase prices with supply limited and output expenses high.
