Nutriad presents at 10th SWCSNFFS in China
The 10th Symposium of World's Chinese Scientists on Nutrition and Feeding of Finfish and Shellfish (SWCSNFFS) was held from October 22-25 in Wu Han province, China.
The event brought together academics and industrial experts from China and Taiwan as well as individuals based in Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. Over 1,500 attendees, including aquaculture researchers and scientists, were at the conference.
The symposium organised "Scientific sessions, an industry forum and student forum" to discuss some of the aqua industry's key topics amongst industry leaders, researchers and students. Participants focused on nutrient requirements and ingredient utilisation, nutritional physiology and animal health, food safety and animal quality control, feed quality control and processing, and feeding physiology and technology.
Allen Wu, regional manager for Aqua-APAC, was invited to be a speaker in the aquafeed and application session, which was one of the most attended sessions. The discussion was chaired by Professor Liu of the National Taiwan Ocean University and Professor Yep, of the SooChow University in Suzhou, China.
Allen presented Nutriad's Quorum Sensing Technology, a novel application in functional shrimp feeds for the EMS strategy.
"As I work with customers throughout Asia, I know that this topic draws attention from feed mills, shrimp hatcheries and farmers," said Allen. "Chinese attendants showed strong interest in our proven technology and field experience in other countries."
