Higher costs, limited output underpin China lysine prices

Lysine prices were stable to higher unchanged during the week ending November 7.

Prices of lysine remained firm over the week. Hog prices rebounded of late, strengthening the confidence of feed millers to increase output while expanding lysine stocks. Additionally, supplies were tight partly due to limited production, and partly due to delays in deliveries amid higher transportation costs.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine increased to the range of RMB8.40-8.50/kg.
