Japan begins wheat purchase for January delivery

 
 

Japan has bought 78,050 tonnes of US milling wheat in a weekly tender, a senior government official said Wednesday (Nov 2).

 

The tender is the first seeking wheat for January shipment.

 

Japan, one of the world's largest wheat importers by volume, has already purchased 311,516 tonnes of wheat from the US, Australia and Canada for shipment in December.
