Russia returns 25 tonnes of chicken to France

The authorities are returning 25 tonnes of chicken to France after St Petersburg Seaport found it had originated from a banned source in Germany.

Experts of Regional Office of Rosselkhoznadzor for St. Petersburg and the Leningradsky Region in the course of inspection at the St. Petersburg Seaport halted a shipment of German dressed chicken with total weight of 25 tonnes, delivered from France.

It was established that the goods were supplied from the enterprise temporarily banned by Rosselkhoznadzor for export to the Russian Federation after considering the results of safety monitoring of its produce. The cargo has been returned to France.
