Africa's No.1 State-Of-The-Art Feed Mill To Be Built in Jos

The African Government's effort to promote local poultry production is to receive a boost as Grand Cereals and Oil Mills Limited (GCOML), a subsidiary of United African Company of Nigeria, (UACN), Plc. plans to build a state-of-the-art feed mill in Jos.

Managing Director of the company, Mr Joseph Dada announced the decision at a ceremony to reward loyal customers of the poultry feed produced by the company, and declared the company is heading towards the goal of building the feed mill to be number one in Africa. He said this special feed mill was the company's way of appreciating the patronage its brand of poultry feed, Vital Feeds, has been enjoying from customers.

According to him, vital feeds has become number one among other feeds within a few years of operation, a reception which informed the company's decision to further invest in its production through the special mill.Mr Ajayi said the company would through that contribute to current efforts to boost local poultry production as well as boost the business of distributors of the feeds whom he said had contributed significantly to making vital feeds popular. He explained that the award night was organized to show appreciation to customers without whom the feeds would have enjoyed such an impressive patronage.

Mr Franklin Mebude, General Manager, (Customer Services) of the company, attributed the success of vital feed in the market within three years to its high quality and palletized nature that ensures the preservation of the vitamins and minerals in the feed.
