Cargill to acquire full ownership of T22 grain elevator

Cargill will assume full ownership of the Terminal 22 joint venture grain elevator, the company said on Saturday (Nov 1, 2008).

A majority of the 650 shareholders of Saskatchewan-based T22 Holdings Ltd. had voted to accept Cargill's offer at a recent shareholder meeting.

The grain facility has a 32,000-tonne storage capacity and serves hundreds of grain producers in south and central Saskatchewan. This acquisition will build on the strengths of the existing operational framework and help advance the facility's growth, according to Cargill and operating company Terminal 22 (1998) Inc.
