Ample lysine availability weighs on China lysine prices

Lysine prices were stable to lower during the week ending November 4.

Sales of lysine remained slow, prompting producers and traders to negotiate prices. However, with hog population limited and soymeal prices falling, feed millers were reluctant to stockpile high inventories of lysine amid low usages.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were lower in the range of RMB7.50-7.60/kg.
