Vietnamese seafood firm FBT records US$513,300 net profit

Bentre Forestry and Aquaproduct Import Export JSC (FBT) generated a net profit of VND10.78 billion (US$513,300) between January and September this year as compared with a loss of VND39.96 billion (US$1.9 million) during the same period last year.

Revenues slid 48.6% on year to VND160.58 billion (US$7.6 million) during January-September, it said in its quarterly financial report.

The nine-month earnings per share were VND958 (US$0.05).

In the third quarter, FBT earned a net profit of VND7.56 billion (US$360,000) on revenues of VND50.32 billion (US$2.4 million), versus VND158.46 million (US$7,500) and VND98.42 billion (US$4.7 million) last third quarter.

Its total assets decreased 15.5% from end-2010 to VND224.26 billion (US$10.7 million), including equity of VND97.26 billion (US$4.6 million) at end-September.
