InVivo acquires Indonesian feed miller

 

InVivo NSA has acquired Indonesian feed miller Welgro.

The acquisition strengthens the company's presence in the high-potential domestic layer market, and will enable it to accelerate the development of its complete feed range in Indonesia and increase its market share.

According to the company, it now has the means to accelerate its development in the region and consolidate its current positions in Vietnam, Indonesia, China, India, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Cambodia.

Welgro has an industrial plant with a capacity of 150,000 tonnes located south of Jakarta, and is not only recognised for the quality of its products but also has a strong trademark - Gelang Merah.

Along with Latin America and Africa, Asia is one of InVivo NSA's three priority investment areas. The company has been accelerating its development in Asia over the last two years: new plants in Indonesia and Vietnam, a new river loading dock in Vietnam, a move into the Philippines, plant construction projects, and has several acquisitions under consideration.
