Russia's annual meat, poultry production to increase 50% by 2020
Russia's annual meat and poultry production may rise 50% from 2010's levels to 15.9 million tonnes by 2020, the Agriculture Ministry said Wednesday (Nov 2).
Annual milk production may increase 18.5% to 37.8 million tonnes, the ministry also said.
By 2015, annual meat and poultry production is expected to amount to 13.6 million tonnes, up 28.3% from 2010, while annual milk production is expected to amount to 34.6 million tonnes, up 8.5% from 2010, the ministry said.
Meat and poultry production in Russia is expected to amount to 11.0 million tonnes in 2011, while milk production is seen at 31.5 million tonnes, the Agriculture Ministry said.
