Kyrgyzstan requests Kazakhstan to allow milk export

A letter to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan has been sent by Kyrgyzstan Agriculture Minister, Torogul Bekov, requesting for milk export to take place, the Ministry's press said.

The letter was sent in connection with lift of the foot-and-mouth disease quarantine in Kyrgyzstan, the Agriculture Ministry said. State Veterinary Department Director Janybek Sultanov announced about ban on meat and milk imports from Kyrgyzstan imposed by Kazakhstan in late September.

The Agriculture Ministry will finance cattle vaccination in November and December. Cattle vaccination will be financed by the World Bank starting 2012.
