Russia bans meat imports from multiple producers

Russia's veterinary regulator, Rosselkhoznadzor has imposed a temporary ban on meat imports from companies in several countries.

A total of 12 companies in Belgium, Denmark, Brazil and the US were banned from exporting meat to Russia.

The companies were banned on quality concerns and the temporary came into effect on Tuesday.

Rosselkhoznadzor found meat imports containing listeriosis, E. coli, tetracyclines, and anti-parasite medicine.
