Minh Phu Seafood Corporation's profit soars 53%

Vietnam's Minh Phu Seafood Corporation (MPC) made a net profit of VND266.39 billion (US$12.75 million) from January-September this year, soaring 53% from last year.

Revenues jumped 58% on year to VND6.83 trillion (US$326.4 million) during January-September, it said in its quarterly financial report, excluding those of its affiliates.

In the third quarter, MPC earned a net profit of VND42.96 billion (US$2.05 million) on revenues of VND2.89 trillion (US$138.1 million), down 3% and up 42% on year, respectively.

The nine-month earnings per share were VND3,806 (US$0.18), compared to VND2,482 (US$0.12) last January-September.

Its total assets increased 58% from end-2010 to VND4.58 trillion (US$218.9 million), including equity of VND1.27 trillion (US$60.7 million) at end September.
