China's October soy imports seen at 4.83 million tonnes
The soy imports of China delivered in October could possibly reach 4.83 million tonnes, the Ministry of Commerce said Thursday (Oct 27).
The estimate is higher than MOC's earlier forecast of 4.19 million tonnes.
The ministry also predicted that the imports in November would amount to 3.9 million tonnes.
The report is based on importers' shipments from October 1 to 15. The MOC regularly releases its estimate twice a month.
The state-backed China National Grain and Oils Information said Wednesday that China would likely import about four million tonnes of soy in October, compared with the 4.13 million tonnes imported in September.
