Meihua Group seeks buyout of Inner Mongolia corn starch firm
Meihua Group's wholly-owned subsidiary Tongliao Meihua Biotechnology Co Ltd seeks to acquire 100% stakes of Tongliao, Inner Mongolia-based Tongde Starch Co Ltd, from Hebei Derui Starch Co Ltd, for RMB18 million.
The purpose of the acquisition is to strengthen the company's corn procurement, storage and processing capacity to ensure its long-term raw material supply.
Liuhe plans RMB1-billion eco food industrial park in Liaoning
Shandong Liuhe Group plans to build a RMB1-billion ecological food industrial park in Tieling city, Changtu county of Liaoning, focusing on integrated broiler operation. Construction will be carried out in three phases, including a 900,000-bird breeder broiler farm, a hatchery, a 50,000-tonne feed mill, a 50-million-bird slaughtering and processing line, as well as organic fertiliser and feather meal production facilities.
Upon full completion, the park will be able to output 20 million commercial broilers and 50,000 tonnes of cooked meat products annually. First-phase construction is slated to finish by end of next year.
Coiner Food's RMB80-million dairy plant begins operation in Hebei
Handan Coiner Food Co Ltd's RMB80-million dairy processing plant went on stream in Yongnian county, Hebei's Handan city. The 22,000-sq-m facility is set to produce 14,460 tonnes of fresh milk, 9,000 tonnes of pasteurised milk and 8,000 tonnes of yogurt each year, fetching RMB120 million in annual output values.
Cargill to build fructose production plant in Henan
Cargill has agreed to establish a US$82-million fructose production plant in Luohe Economic Development Zone, Henan province. To be completed in two stages, the first phase will have an annual capacity of 120,000 tonnes, potentially generating RMB500 million in output values and RMB21 million in profits yearly.
Guangtian Group sets up 300,000-head hog base in Guangxi
Hunan Guangtian Group has signed an agreement to set up a 300,000-head demonstration hog base in Silingxiang, Guangxi's Wuxian county. Occupying 1,500 mu in area, the RMB300-million site will be built in two phases – a 15,000-head sow farm in the first phase followed by a hog rearing ground in the second.
Ningxia Zhengwang opens 200,000-tonne antibiotic-free feed mill
Ningxia Zhengwang Bio-Nutrition Technology Co Ltd recently completed and put into operation the first phase of its RMB45-million antibiotic-free feed production facility.
Designed to produce 200,000 tonnes of feed and 180,000 tonnes of agricultural by-products per year, the plant is expected to generate an annual profit of RMB63 million on revenue of RMB600 million.
