Vietnam to organise auction for bird flu vaccine import
An auction for importing of 60 million bird flu vaccine doses will be organised by the Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The vaccine will be provided for southern provinces to protect their poultry flocks, according to the media on Wednesday (Oct 26).
Currently the Southeast Asian country successfully controls the bird flu disease, however, the disease is expected to reoccur in localities when the weather becomes cold, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, the blue-ear disease spreads in four provinces in the Mekong Delta region and the central province of Quang Nam.
