Gavilon sets up new grain office in Ukraine

 

 

Gavilon, LLC, has officially announced the opening of its new grain origination office located in Kiev, Ukraine on October 24 (Mon).

 

Customers, suppliers and industry groups were among the guests invited to the new Gavilon Ukraine office, to meet Gavilon executives and the local management team.

 

General Manager Victor Khimchenko welcomed more than 100 guests at the event and spoke to them about the local team's capabilities.

 

"Gavilon is here to become the reliable partner of choice," he said. "We offer regional market expertise and proven commodity management capabilities, backed by Gavilon's global perspective and financial stability."

 

"The Black Sea region is rapidly becoming an important supplier of feed and food for the world," said David Levine, vice-president of Gavilon's international division. "We are very pleased to expand Gavilon's global network in Ukraine."

 

The Gavilon Ukraine office sources wheat, corn, barley, soy and other grains from Black Sea region producers. The Gavilon Ukraine office also offers transportation and logistics services to better serve its customers in that region. All grain origination will be supported by the company's Geneva, Switzerland, office, which conducts destination chartering and marketing activities throughout Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
