Novozymes launches new feed enzyme

Danish Novozymes and its partner DSM will launch a new feed enzyme that will lower protein costs in broiler and pig diets.

The enzyme meets the requirements of modern broiler and pig feeding and reduces feed costs by maximizing protein utilisation and improving nutritional value.

The savings on feed are estimated to be 3-8 percent. Novozymes estimates the global market value of feed enzymes at more than DKR1.5 billion (US$271.46million). Novozymes is also developing feed enzymes for cattle and fish feed.
