Ukraine to export dairy products to Azerbaijan

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has received a letter from the government of Azerbaijan expressing that it is ready to import dairy products, Ukrinform reported.

Deputy chief of the state veterinary and phytosanitary office of Ukraine, Oleksandr Verzhyhovsky, revealed this development at a board meeting.

"Today, a competent authority of Azerbaijan has sent us a letter that it is ready to cooperate in importing our dairy products," Verzhyhovsky said.

A list of 178 Ukrainian dairy companies interested in exporting to Azerbaijan has been sent to the country's capital Baku.

According to Verzhyhovsky, nine Ukrainian companies for breeding and cultivation of cattle have already been cooperating with Azerbaijan.
