Japan's compound feed drops by 4.4 percent on-year in August
Japan's total compound feed output fell 4.4 percent in August from a year earlier to 1.9 million tonnes, according to Agriculture Ministry data.
Thanks to subsidies from funds pooled by feed makers and livestock farmers, formula feed users are less exposed to the recent price rise than users who mix feed ingredients by themselves.
In July, total compound feed output for Japan rose 0.3 percent from a year ago to 1.9 million tonnes.
