Russia's agricultural output value up

In January–September, Russia's agricultural production rose 15.9% on-year to RUB2.465 trillion (US$79.1 billion), the Federal State Statistics said Wednesday (Oct 19).

In September, agricultural output rose 29.5% on the year to RUB729.4 billion (US$23.4 billion).

As of October 1, the country's grain harvest amounted to 87.8 million tonnes, up 48.1% on the year.

Meat and poultry output rose 4.4% on year to 7.1 million tonnes in January–September, milk output decreased 1.5% to 25 million tonnes, and egg output rose 0.8% on year to 31.3 billion units, the service said.
