BRF Brasil Foods to seek acquisition 

Following acquisitions of two companies in Argentina, Wilson Mello, vice president of corporate affairs for BRF Brasil Foods, told Reuters on Friday (Oct 14) about the company's intention to seek more acquisitions in Latin America.

The company plans to produce and process poultry, pork, beef and milk in other countries in the region as part of its global growth strategy.

"Latin America is embedded in our investment plan. Argentina was the first step, and now we're seeking more opportunities," said Mello, who declined to specify which countries the company was looking at.
