US corn harvest completion ahead of five year average

 

 

US corn harvest was 47% completed, compared with 33% a week earlier and the previous five year average of 41%, according to USDA in a Bloomberg report.

 

US soy harvest was estimated at 69%, compared with 51% a week earlier and the five year average of 61%.

 

About 73% of the winter wheat crop was planted, below the five year average of 77%, according to the report. A week earlier, 59% of the crop had been sown. Winter wheat plants that had emerged rose to 44%, compared with 28% a week earlier.
