Marine Harvest's salmon supplies surpass forecast

In the third quarter of 2011, Marine Harvest ASA had a total harvest of 83,000 tonnes of salmonid species, up from earlier forecast of 79,000 tonnes.

In the third quarter of 2010, volumes totalled 64,000 tonnes.

Norway accounted for 48,000 tonnes of the harvest volume in the period July-September 2011.

Marine Harvest said its EBIT declined to NOK450 million (US$80 million) from NOK759 million (US$135 million) in the third quarter of 2010. The EBIT per kilogramme for Marine Harvest Norway was NOK5.90 (US$1.05).

Marine Harvest is expected to issue its third-quarter results on October 27, 2011.
