Ukraine bans import of German poultry
Ukraine has suspended poultry imports from German region of Saxony due to a case of H5N1 bird flu, said the State Committee of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine.
This decision follows Hong Kong's ban on German poultry import applications for the same reason.
In addition, the Committee has lifted the ban for poultry imports from German regions of Bavaria, Thuringia and Brandenburg, all of which were banned last year as they had cases of highly pathogenic bird flu.
