Russia's Sunny Foods to build US$200 million grain terminal
Russian agricultural holdings Efko and Solnechnye Produkty, or Sunny Foods, plans to build a US$200 million grain terminal on the southwestern part of the Taman Peninsula in the Krasnodar Region.
The terminal is expected to have a capacity of 5 million tonnes of grain per year and a grain elevator with a nominal capacity of 250,000 tonnes that is slated to be launched sometime in September-November 2009.
Efko has 2 main production complexes, which specialize in the production of sunflower oil, mayonnaise and ketchup, and in the production of margarine and fats.
Solnechnye Produkty, established in 2004, produces sunflower oil, mayonnaises, margarine and other products. The holding includes 10 companies.
