China to inspect Brazil's swine sanitation system
Inspectors of the Chinese Official Veterinary Service are expected to evaluate Brazil's swine sanitation today.
The 10-day inspection trip aims to improve trade exchange between China and Brazil.
Currently, Brazil does not export pork products to China. During the visit, the Chinese officials will visit farms located in the states of Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Minas Gerais, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Goias.
China is the second largest importer of Brazilian agricultural and livestock products, with import value exceeding US$7 billion in the period of January-September, up 91.17 percent on-year.
