USSEC unveils new Regional Structure and Leadership; Carlos Salinas named Executive Director for East Asia
 
 

 
The US Soybean Export Council (USSEC) updated its regional structure designed to maximise efficiency, align talent, and continue delivering trusted, impactful programs to international customers on behalf of US Soy farmers and USSEC members.
 
As part of the reorganisation, Carlos Salinas has been appointed Executive Director – East Asia, effective October 1. In this role, he will lead USSEC's efforts to build trust, grow relationships, and strengthen market access for US Soy across the region for the mutual benefit of US Soy farmers and international customers.
 
The regional structure updates will ensure USSEC is well-positioned to achieve its strategic goals amid evolving global market dynamics. The updated model realigns regional boundaries for US Soy export markets, streamlines program administration, and strengthens USSEC's ability to support global priorities and deliver value to customers worldwide.

 Carlos Salinas serves as Executive Director – East Asia for the US Soybean Export Council (USSEC). In this role, he leads USSEC's efforts to strengthen market access, build customer trust, and grow demand for US Soy across East Asia.
 
Salinas brings more than 25 years of experience in global agribusiness and international trade, with strong background in a broad range of commodities—including oilseeds, feed grains, and vegetable oils. Most recently, he served as Regional Director for the Americas at USSEC. Prior to joining USSEC, he held commercial and leadership positions at Continental Grain, Bunge and ADM.
 
With extensive experience working in the US, Germany, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico, Bolivia, and other global hubs, Salinas is well-positioned to guide USSEC's strategy and programs, ensuring the organization fulfils the mission of US Soy to be a trusted, reliable and sustainable source of nutrition and energy worldwide.
