Ukrainian meat products' forecast revised up

 

 

The forecast for meat and meat products production in 2011 has been increased by Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food by 5% or 0.1 million tonnes to 2.2 million tonnes.

 

Mykola Prysiazhniuk, minister of agrarian policy said that it is planned to produce 2,215,000 tonnes of meat and meat products in 2011, or 156,000 tonnes more than in the previous year.

 

Ukraine is taking steps to ensure self-sufficiency of domestic meat production.

 

As Ukrainian News reported, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food in February predicted meat and meat products output at 2.1 million tonnes in 2011.
