Vietnam's MPC export revenues up
Vietnam's Minh Phu Seafood Corporation (MPC) brought in US$229.3 million from exports between January and September this year, surging 45.5% from the same period last year.
The company said it exported over 18,793 tonnes of shrimp during the period, up 25.4% on year.
The US remained the largest importer of MPC's shrimp, with an import value of US$91 million, followed by Japan with US$42.5 million, EU with US$30.8 million and South Korea with US$27 million.
MPC's Deputy General Director Le Van Diep said the company is likely to miss its target of export revenues at US$360 million this year due to the late operation of its factories.
