Taiwan Smart Agriweek and International Fisheries Expo in Taipei, Taiwan, saw over 18,000 visitors
The 9th Taiwan Smart Agriweek and 10th Taiwan International Aquaculture & Fisheries Expo were held in Taipei, Taiwan, on September 11-13 and drew over 18,000 trade visitors from 40 countries including Brazil, El Salvador, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Organised at TaiNEX 1, the show also gathered 384 exhibitors from 20 countries, showcasing over 2,000 innovative technologies and solutions in both agriculture and aquaculture sectors.
Under the theme "S.M.A.R.T – Sustainability, Market, Advance, Resilience, and Technology", Taiwan Smart Agriweek focuses on adaptation and involvement of technologies and innovations in tackling current agriculture and aquaculture, as well as climate-resilient and sustainable agricultural practices. These topics provided the impetus for "Agri-Next Talk" which saw over 50 industry speakers and leaders share their insights and expertise in tackling current challenges with over 800 forum attendees.
Aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030, the AgriGreen show attracted over 2,000 local and international visitors and buyers to explore more opportunities and solutions in tackling climate issues. It was organised to incorporate Taiwan's focus and commitment to environmental sustainability, renewable energy, and minimising carbon emissions to combat climate change and economic growth.
On the sideline of Taiwan Smart Agriweek, the event's organiser, My Exhibition Co., Ltd., formed a strategic partnership with Singapore's Constellar Exhibition to advance agritech and aquaculture collaboration between Taiwan and Singapore.
"This event (Taiwan Smart Agriweek) has a profound impact on Taiwanese farmers by introducing them to the latest advancements and offering them direct access to international markets and networks," said Irene Liu, general manager of My Exhibition Co., Ltd. "As more stakeholders get involved, including startups, educational institutions, and international organisations, we believe the show will continue to be a catalyst for modernising Taiwan's agricultural landscape."
The event will be held again on September 3-5, 2025.
