Alaska seafood goes to China
The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute would make its way to China's Fisheries and Seafood Expo next month to promote Alaska's seafood.
The institute would promote products such as smoked sockeye, king crab legs and ikura, the Japanese-style salmon roe in China.
The institute said there was a marked increase in interest for black cod and salmon in Spain during a trade show last week.
The institute also noted interest from Russian markets when it went to the World Food Moscow Trade Show last month, where it promoted salmon roe products.
