CP Myanmar signs MOU for building of livestock farms, learning center

CP Myanmar has signed a MOU with Myanmar's Department of Livestock Development (DLD) to establish a learning center on farming, said its parent company, Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF), in late-September.

The MOU was signed between Dr. Ye Tun Win, director-general of DLD, and CP Myanmar officials Uthai Tantipimolphun (vice chairman) and Phongtron Kavanna (executive vice president for accounting and finance).

The MOU will permit CP Myanmar to rent land under DLD's control for the construction of a broiler farm, a layer farm and a swine farm. The land will also be used to set up the Livestock Learning Center.

The learning center will be used by local farmers to learn operating livestock farms in line with international standards.
