DSM appoints a new executive vice president
Health and nutrition company Royal DSM announced that Philip Eykerman is being appointed to the role of executive vice president for corporate strategy and acquisitions.
Eykerman will be replacing current incumbent Hein Schreuder, who will be retiring from DSM on December 31, 2011, after 20 years at the company.
Prior to Eykerman's appointment to DSM, he has been with management consulting firm McKinsey & Company since 1997, and was the leader of McKinsey's chemicals practice in the Benelux countries and France.
In his new capacity, Eykerman will be reporting to DSM's chief executive officer and chairman of the managing board, Feike Sijbesma.
AB Vista recruits animal nutrition expert as China technical operations manager
AB Vista has recruited Dr Renee Li Xiaojie to be its new technical manager for its operations in China.
Based in Beijing, Renee will be responsible for the technical support of AB Vista's products, research institute trials and commercial evaluation projects in China.
Dr Li, who has a BSc and PhD in animal nutrition, had previously worked in research and development for Taiwan's DaChan Food (Asia), before becoming a dairy economic analyst for the International Farm Comparison Network, where she collected and analysed data from China's dairy market.
"Dr Li has a strong technical background and excellent abilities in international communication which she gained through several years of studying and working overseas," said M.Y. Tan, regional technical director for AB Vista in the Asia Pacific. "We believe Renee's appointment will increase our chances of success in one of Asia's toughest feed enzyme markets."
Perstorp appoints a new manager for R&D and innovation
Feed additives producer Perstorp Performance Additives has appointed Koen Schwarzer as manager for R&D and Innovation.
A chemist and microbiologist by trade, Schwarzer has been active in the research and development of feed additives for over 30 years, including R&D management positions at other feed additive companies.
Schwarzer will be based at Perstorp's Waspik, Netherlands headquarters. His responsibilities will include managing the R&D department, as well as providing technical support for various feed additive product groups.
Schwarzer will be replacing Marc Kinjet, who changed positions to become Perstorp's business development manager for Asia.
