Egypt, Turkey import Russia's wheat

 

 

Russia's wheat exports amounted 2.3 million tonnes in September, and Egypt (846,200 tonnes) and Turkey (275,600 tonnes) were the key importers, according to data of the monitoring by experts of APK-Inform Agency.

 

In September 2011, Russian export companies shipped 2.5 million tonnes of grains. Wheat exports totalled 2.3 million tonnes, barley at 184,800 tonnes and corn at 8,200 tonnes.

 

The deep-sea port of Novorossiysk still continues to be the main port-sender of grains from the country which during the reporting period, shipped 1.1 million tonnes of wheat and 95,000 tonnes of barley, while the port of Rostov-on-Don in September shipped 416,700 tonnes of wheat and 30,100 tonnes of barley. Yeysk shipped 212,800 tonnes of wheat, 9,000 tonnes of corn and 2,800 tonnes of barley.
